False Report of a Criminal Offence/Article 302

(1) Whoever reports that a person has committed a criminal offence for which criminal proceedings are instituted by virtue of office, despite knowing this not to be true, or whoever, by supposition of traces or otherwise, causes the institution of criminal proceedings against a person whom he or she knows not to be the perpetrator of the criminal offence,

(2) Whoever reports that a criminal offence was committed, for which criminal proceedings are instituted by virtue of office, despite knowing this not to be true, or whoever charges himself or herself with the perpetration of a criminal offence, although he or she has not committed it.
